Ear Wax

I've been having trouble concentrating during Private Study periods in school. Our designated study areas are 1. an open-air study area right next to the classrooms and 2. the library. Being the lazy bum that I am, I usually pick 1 over 2 as it saves me a 5-minute walk to-and-fro the library. Unfortunately, studying in area 1 will mean that I'm subjected to listening to this one particularly loud student. Even though I sit at the opposite end of the study area from her, it is still very easy for me to make out what she is saying to her group of friends.

Now, the good news is that I went swimming yesterday, and now my right ear is partially deaf from the wet, sticky wax that has accumulated. I can hardly hear when someone speaks at normal volume to me, so I guess tomorrow will bring solid, uninterrupted studying for me during Private Study!!! :D

There's also a mathematics test on algebra tomorrow. I've been looking through my collection of problems from past tests, and the early years seem to have unusual problems. They're not particularly difficult, but I wonder if we'll see some of those problems. Actually, I hope we do as our tests seem to be getting too easy. Unfortunately for me, I always manage at least one careless mistake, like giving a range of possible values for x when the minimum value of x was asked for. That cost me 1% on my last test and left me weeping with a 99%.
